Current Events: Creative reset, prepping for 1.8 and hardcore server

Hi All!

A few announcements to share with you all about the status of the MC server:

• Creative Server Reset: As Kaori mentioned in this post the creative server has been upgraded to Minecraft version 1.7.9 and has been reset. The type of map has been changed from super-flat to normal terrain. The old map can be found for download on the downloads page
• 1.8 Upgrade: As per our new routine with major version releases we will be resetting the map for the release of 1.8 which will likely be out in another month or so. If anyone has any objections to this please let me know.
• Hardcore Server: In the interest of trying something new we will be opening up a hardcore server instance for use within the next few weeks or so. As the name suggests, this will be hard. If you die on the hardcore server, you are automatically banned. No exceptions will be made. The goal will be to work together to beat the ender dragon in full-on hardcore mode. If you have any interest in participating please let me know so I can gauge how many people we might have and try to coordinate a good start date.
  Hardcore maps would probably be wiped every 6-8 weeks to allow anyone who died to rejoin and also to keep the challenge level and variety up. This is not final though. This will be a fun little experiment to try =)
