Server Reset for 1.8 Saturday, September 20th

Hi All,

The survival server will be reset on Saturday, September 20th when we upgrade to 1.8. Keeping with tradition the old server will be moved to a different port for a short period of time and a snapshot will be made available for download. I don't know when on the 20th this will happen, probably sometime in the early afternoon.

For once I decided to get ahead of the game a little bit and made a copy of our 1.7 world up on the download page. A brief note on this download: This download has been converted back from a format the Spigot used. The main world should be the same and work fine, but the Nether and The End might be missing items in chests. Not a huge deal but it was something that was lost while putting the world back together from the broken-up format that Spigot used to speed things up.

One more note: Minecraft 1.8 changes the way use data is stored on the server. As a result player icons on the map will not update when you change your texture. Even worse, if you've never played on our server before you won't show up on the map at all. I've found a fix for this and will be putting it in place within the next few days.
